Disco Dessert 1/18/22 - "Freetime" by Kenna...

 

 

"Freetime" was a club hit for Ethiopian-born singer/songwriter/producer Kenna (Zemedkun). Appearing on his debut album New Sacred Cow, the song was written and produced by Kenna with Chad Hugo of the Neptunes. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #19 in 2003. I really adore the album, it's worth seeking out.
