Disco Dessert 3/23/20 - "Bad Company" from Ullanda McCullough...
"Bad Company" was a club hit for Detroit native Ullanda McCullough. Appearing on her self-titled second album, the song was not a remake of the arena rock band classic but rather a song written and produced by the husband and wife team of Ashford & Simpson. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top 100 chart, the Ullanda McCullough album charted as one entry, with "Bad Company", "Warm and Gentle Explosion", and "Rock Me" featured as listed cuts. The record rose to #18 in 1981, spending five months on the chart.
