Songoftheday 2/13/17 - If I reached out and touched the rain, it just wouldn't feel the same...

"Without You" - Mötley Crüe
from the album Dr. Feelgood (1989)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #8 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 10

Today's song of the day comes from the glam/heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, whose fifth studio album Dr. Feelgood had scored them their first top-10 pop hit with the title track along with a top-40 follow-up in "Kickstart My Heart". The third single from the record was the power-ballad "Without You". Written by the band's Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars, the track was their first big slow-song hit...

"Without You" became Mötley Crüe's second (and last) top-10 pop hit in April of 1990. The single also climbed to #11 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock radio chart. Internationally, the record hit the top-40 in the UK at #39, and reached #46 in Australia.
