Here's the top ten hits in Germany this week, according to their official singles chart, as Ed Sheeran holds at #1 for a fifth week...

6. "Way Down We Go" - Kaleo (7)
7. "Alone" - Alan Walker (5)
8. "Call On Me" - Starley (8)
9. "Steady 1234" - Vice featuring Jasmine Thompson & Skizzy Mars (DEBUT)
10. "Now and Later" - Sage the Gemini (9)

Los Angeles-based DJ Vice, who I featured last week with his breakout single "Steady 1234" with British singer Jasmine Thompson and rapper Skizzy Mars, now leaps into the top ten at #9...

Further down the chart, veteran emo-new wave act Depeche Mode are back at #29 with "Where's The Revolution". The British band has been very successful in this country, claiming their 46th top-40 hit in Germany with this single. They've reached #1 twice, in 1984 with "People Are People" and again in 2001 with "Dream On"...


Meanwhile, on the albums chart in this country, punk rock band Broilers from Dusseldorf take over at #1 with (sic!). It's their second chart-topping record - they did it in 2014 with Noir...


Capital Bra, a rapper born in Siberia who moved to Berlin as a child, lands in the #2 spot with Makarov Complex, his second release...


Another hip-hop artist from Berlin, B-Tight, follows at #3 with Wer hat das Gras weggeraucht? ("Who Smoked All The Weed?"). It's hit fourth top-10 effort...


British folk-rock band Mumford & Sons arrive at #8 with their Live From South Africa: Dust & Thunder DVD...


Kaleo, the alternative rock group from Iceland, roll into the top ten at #9 with A/B, which also includes their first top ten hit "Way Down We Go"...
