Brit Sweep: May 5, 2013..
Hey folks, the weekend is coming to a close, and time to check out the songs making their debut on the Official British Music singles chart this week, as Daft Punk spend a second week at #1 with "Get Lucky"...
There's one new song in the top-10 here, and it's from sibling electronic duo Disclosure with "You & Me" featuring singer Eliza Doolittle. It's their third single from new album Settle to reach the top-20 in the UK, and it follows the excellent #2 hit "White Noise", which is still hanging on at #24 (the first, "Latch", is down at #72). Eliza was last in the top-10 in 2010 with "Pack Up"...This is my "Brit Pick of the Week"....(NSFW)

Manchester singer Misha B comes in at #35 with "Here's To Everything (Ooh La La)". It's also her third top-40 single - last year she went to #9 with "Do You Think Of Me"...
Another tearjerker single comes into the top-40 as Michael Molloy, a guitarist from Liverpool who was killed on a bus crash returning from a music festival on the Isle of Wight, debuts at #38 with "Rise And Fall" featuring friend Alex Evans....
Disclosure's collaborator on the aforementioned "White Noise", electronica duo AlunaGeorge, arrives at #55 with "You Know You Like It"...
American R&B singer/rapper J. Cole enters at #76 with "Power Trip" featuring Latin soul star Miguel. It's his first trip into this country's top 100 singles...
The final debut of the week at #93 is singer Bo Bruce from the town of Marlborough with "Save Me". She was the runner-up on the first season of the UK version of The Voice, where her version of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" reached #69 in 2012...
That does it, not much new but a lot of high-quality stuff here (especially the Disclosure, AlunaGeorge, and Bruce tracks)....
