Aussie Sweep: May 15, 2013...


Hey mates, it's time again after a two-week break to take another trip Down Under to check out the official sales charts with the latest songs to reach the Australian top-100 singles list, as Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" takes over the #1 spot...

As America's version of The Voice is under way, the Australian show is huge, with it one of the top rated shows in that country every night. There are a truckload of performances from the show that reach the chart, and that includes the top debut, Harrison Craig's version of Michael Buble's "Home", as he was sent to the next round "saved" by the public, and the song leaps in at #13...

Jackie Sannia - who was saved by her coach Delta Goodrem on The Voice, arrives at #24 with "Arithmetic", a Brooke Fraser song that went top-10 in New Zealand...


Miss Murphy (real name Karen Andrews), from Ricky Martin's Voice team and saved by the public on the same show at Craig, enters at #30 with Elton John's "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word"...


Steve Clisby, from Goodrem's team, pops in at #31 with his take on Billie Holiday's "God Bless The Child"...


...and now for a break in the Voice madness, as American trashpop queen Ke$ha lands at #32 with "Crazy Kids" featuring will.i.am..


Another singing competition veteran, UK X Factor winners Little Mix drive in at #33 with "How Ya Doin'" featuring Missy Elliott...


Now back to more Voice, Michael Paynter takes his performance of "The Horses", which Daryl Braithwaite took to #1 in this country in 1991, to #34...


Jamaican singer Sean Kingston returns at #41 with "Beat It" featuring Chris Brown (really?) and Wiz Khalifa...(NSFW)


Voice contestant Kiyomi Vella (from Joel Madden's team) is at #48 with her version of the Paloma Faith song "Upside Down"...


Alex Gibson, who is on Team Seal on The Voice Australia, lands in the top-half of the chart at #49 with Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sounds Of Silence"...


Mariah Carey (coincidentally on another competition show, American Idol) reappears on the chart at #71 with "Beautiful" featuring Miguel...


British singer Charlie Brown arrives at #73 with his epic "On My Way", my "Aussie pick of the Week"...


The only one of the singers from The Voice to make the chart and so far be eliminated is Michelle Martinez, who comes in at #87 with her version of Lloyd's "Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)"...


Agnetha Faltskog, member of the iconic Swedish pop group ABBA, with "When You Really Loved Someone"...


The final debut of the week is the most recent of The Voice performance's, Jackie Sannia's version of Birdy's "People Help The People"...
