Welcome back as my recap of the German charts returns from a two-week break, as American indie-pop duo Capital Cities leap to #1 with "Safe And Sound"...

The top debut at #9 is another pop duo, Glasperlenspiel (Glass Bead Game), with "Nie Vergessen" ("Ash"), my "German Pick of the Week". It's their second top-10 single - they took "Echt" ("Real") to the same peak two years ago...

German comedy radio program Frühstück bei Stefanie ("Breakfast at Stephanie's") lands a single on the chart as "Summerfeeling pur (Ich bin bräuner wie du!)" ("Pure Summer Feeling (I'm as Tan as You)") featuring Udo Martens comes in at #26.


German DJ Wankemut enters at #33 with "My Head Is A Jungle" featuring singer Emma Louise...(this would def be my runner-up pick)...


German trance music gods Jam & Spoon update their 1993 classic "Right In The Night" featuring Plavka with David May and Amfee along for the ride at #38. The original peaked at #6 in this country..


German Schlager singer Michael Wendler comes in at #54 with "Honey Kiss" featuring Anika...


Rapper Moses Pelham, part of the German R&B group Glashaus, debuts at #70 with "Wenn der Schmerz nachlässt" ("If The Pain Subsides")...


Continuing this country's current love of English-language indie-folk music, Irish singer/songwriter Ryan Sheridan enters at #72 with his 2010 single "Jigsaw"...


The final debut of the week at #99 is Dutch dance remixing legend and EDM pioneer Armin Van Buuren with "This Is What It Feels Like" featuring Canadian singer Trevor Guthrie...
