Aussie Sweep: May 22, 2013...


G'day mates, I've got the newest singles making the charts Down Under, as Robin Thicke takes on a second week on top with "Blurred Lines"...

Australia's version of The Voice, which is huge there, aired on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of May, and like last week a basket of performances enter the chart.  This time Luke Kennedy of Ricky Martin's team is the big winner, as his version of "Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro)" not only "saved" him from elimination, but is the high debut at #9...

Another Voice contestant on Ricky's team, Emma Pask, ended up eliminated but her take on Sergio Mendes' "Mas Que Nada" places at #15...


The woman on her team that beat Emma out, Caterina Torres, enters at #28 with Beyonce's "If I Were A Boy"...


Another Voice singer "saved" by the public vote, Celia Pavey from Delta Goodrem's team, debuts at #29 with Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock"...


..and now for a break from The Voice, Sydney-based hiphop duo Bliss N Eso come on the chart at #31 with "Home Is Where The Heart Is". It's their second top-40 hit here after "Addicted" in 2010...


British "boy-band" the Wanted performed on The Voice on the results show, and that song, "Walks Like Rihanna", pops in at #33...


Michael Stangel, the third Voice "Saved" contestant here (from Joel Madden's troupe) is at #41 with Phillip Phillip's "Home"..


Taylor Swift is back at #47 with "Everything Has Changed" featuring Ed Sheeran...


Lyric McFarland, who ended up eliminated on the Voice on the 14th from Joel Madden's team, is in at #51 with Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"...


Dutch remixer/producer Armin Van Buuren debuts at #62 with "This Is What It Feels Like" with vocalist Trevor Guthrie...


Another dance act, Knife Party from Perth, come in at #77 with their Haunted House EP....it's my "Aussie Pick of the Week"...


Demi Lovato enters at #81 with "Really Don't Care" featuring British singer Cher Lloyd...


Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull reunite at #84 for "Live It Up"...


...and back to The Voice for the last three debuts...at #88 is Mitchell Anderson (the fourth of the "saved" singers, this time from Seal's team) with the Box Tops' "The Letter"...


Another of Seal's team, Jac Stone, pops in at #92 with her cover of Suzanne Vega's "Luka"...


The last debut at #93 is Danny Ross from Joel Madden's team with "All Along The Watchtower". He's the one who "knocked" Lyric McFarland from the show...
