Rick Springfield - "Human Touch"
from the album Living In Oz (1983)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #18 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 11

Today's Song of the Day is by Australian-born mainstream pop/rock hitmaker Rick Springfield, who in 1983 was at the height of his popularity, with two platinum albums under his belt and a long-running stint on the immensely popular soap opera General Hospital as Dr. Noah Drake. His third album, Living In Oz, was released that year and followed its two predecessors to Platinum status, selling over a million copies, and producing another top-10 hit with "Affair Of The Heart". The follow-up, "Human Touch" was a gale force of production tricks coupled with one of his most infectious melodies ever...

"Human Touch" reached both the top-20 on the pop chart and top-40 on the rock list in America, while becoming his first and only top-40 single in Britain.
