"The Captain Of The Ship" was a club hit for the London-based duo Ratpack. Released as a stand-alone single, the song was produced by the act's Evenson Allen and Mark McKee, who wrote it with Kenny Young and Ben Yardley along with Sydney Carter and Jens Lissat. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #15 in 1996. Here's the remix for the club done by Richard "Humpty" Vission and Pete Lorimer.
