Jeffrey Osborne - "You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)"
from the album Emotional (1986)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #13 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 11

Today's Song of the Day comes from soul singer Jeffrey Osborne, who had carved a successful solo career after leaving the funk/disco group LTD in the early 80s. His last album scored him his sixth solo top-40 pop hit with "The Borderlines". For his fourth release, Jeffrey recorded the mid-tempo croon of "You Should Be Mine". What is "fortifying my love", anyway?

"You Should Be Mine" became Jeffrey's first solo top-20 pop hit in August of 1986, while reaching #2 on both the R&B and Adult Contemporary (or 'easy listening') radio charts in Billboard.
