This week's "robbed hit" is from the pop/rock band Scandal, who had their breakthrough hit "The Warrior" in 1984 which reached the top-10 on the pop chart. However, the follow-up single, "Hands Tied", frustratingly stalled just under the top-40 at #41. The group issued "Beat Of A Heart", another by the numbers power-pop number, as the third release...


While "Beat Of A Heart" put Scandal back in the top-10 on rock radio at #10, it repeated their last single by peaking at #41. They would break up shortly after touring behind the album, with Smyth pursuing a solo career, with a couple of her own top-40 hits in the early 90s, including the #2 "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" with Don Henley.
