Brit Sweep: December 7, 2014...


The weekend is coming to a close, and it's time to check out the songs making their debut on the official singles chart in Britain this week, as Ed Sheeran returns to #1 for a second non-consecutive week with "Thinking Out Loud"...

The top debut of the week at #2 is "You Got It All" from boyband Union J. The group, formed during X Factor UK and ending up finishing fourth on the ninth season (the James Arthur season), and now is their fourth top-ten hit and highest rank as yet. The song was written by Nasri Atweh, leader of the group Magic! who topped the UK chart earlier this year with "Rude"...

British duo Blonde enter at #7 with "I Loved You" featuring vocals from Melissa Steel. It's Steel's second top-ten hit; she went to #10 as a lead artist with "Kisses For Breakfast"...


As Sheeran tops the chart again, he comes in at #38 with a new song, "Make It Rain", from the show Sons Of Anarchy...


SecondCity, aka Chicago-born DJ Rowan Harrington, follows up his #1 hit "I Wanna Feel" with the song at #85, "What Can I Do" featuring Ali Love. It's my "Brit Pick of the Week"...


Swedish duo Nico & Vinz went to the top of the British chart with "Am I Wrong". Now they arrive with "In Your Arms" at #90...


The final debut of the week at #94 is "Up" from Olly Murs with Demi Lovato. His radio single "Wrapped Up" is up at #5...
