twostepcub's music chart for February 21, 2014..

The end of the work week is here, and I'm ready to run down my top 100 tunes from the week. This time out A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera climb to the #1 spot, while Pharrell Williams (pictured above) leaps into the top ten. Former big hits by Darius Rucker, Fitz & The Tantrums, Cole Plante, and Kristine W fall off my list, while songs by Betty Who, Randy Houser, and Clean Bandit make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). I'm looking up groundhog recipes now...

There are eleven songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to their official webpage. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

The man who sung Avicii's #1 hit on my list "Wake Me Up!", Aloe Blacc, has the highest entry at #73 with "The Man".  It's his first big solo hit in the States, though he made my list in 2010 with "I Need A Dollar"..

Dutch veteran trance music legend Tiesto returns at #81 with his latest, "Red Lights", which points more in the pop/EDM direction...

Imagine Dragons, who had the top song on my year-end chart last in 2013 with "Radioactive" as well as the #4 "Demons" (which is still on the chart at #26), are in at #83 with the fourth single from their Night Visions album, "On Top Of The World"...

Modern rock band Neon Trees are back at #85 with the first single from their upcoming third album, "Sleeping With A Friend"...

Neo-country singer Jerrod Niemann has been one of my favorites the last few years, successfully injecting soul music into the genre, and he enters at #91 with "Drink To That All Night", which, erm, kind of eschews the soul for some rap and Autotune. Here's hoping the album is more diverse...

Long-revered electronica duo come in at #94 with their club hit "Gaudete", a remake of a medieval Christmas carol sung in Latin and remixed for the dancefloor from their recent holiday set..

Swedish dance freaks (and I mean that in a good way) Army Of Lovers return at #95 with a rework of one of my all-time (if not my definite alltime) favorite club songs "Crucified"...

British singer/songwriter Lily Allen struts in at #96 with the delightfully sassy "Hard Out Here"....

London-based dance act Gorgon City debuts at #98 with their first hit "Ready For Your Love" featuring singer MNEK...

James Blunt follows up his recent hit "Bonfire Heart" with the song at #99, "Heart To Heart"...

The final entry of the week belongs to singer, rapper, producer, and The Voice UK mentor will.i.am with Miley Cyrus and rappers French Montana and Wiz Khalifa for "Feelin' Myself" at #100. It's the fifth track from his willpower album to sneak onto my list...

That's it for today...thanks for stopping by, and I'll be back tomorrow with another Song of the Day and my five chart sweeps of the songs making the charts in Billboard. Cheers!
