Today's Song of the Day is by Eagles drummer and co-lead singer Don Henley, whose second solo album after the band's first break-up had already scored a top-ten pop hit with "The Boys Of Summer". The the followup Don released the insanely catchy "All She Wants To Do Is Dance", which he wrote with band member Danny Kortchmar, who he also co-produced with along with Greg Landanyi. With allusions to current events and political overtones, the lyrics were overshadows by the churning synth rhythms at the record's core...

"All She Wants To Do Is Dance" became Don's second top-10 hit from the album in May of 1985, while also topping the rock radio chart. The extended remix was a hit in the clubs, landing at #10 on Billboard's Club Play chart, and even reached the R&B genre chart at #65. Internationally, it stopped at #13 in Canada, and didn't even make the chart in the UK...
