Dance Sweep: February 22, 2014...

I'm up to the last of today's "chart sweeps" taking in the new songs making the charts in Billboard magazine, and I'll close things out with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio.

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Katy Perry keeps her streak alive with a fourteenth #1 with "Dark Horse"...

Puerto Rican pop singer Noelia has the top entry of the week at #45 with "Mind Blown" featuring Timbaland. In 2012 she went to #2 with "My Everything"...

Newcomer Consuelo Costin arrives at #48 with "Here We Go"...

Starling Glow debuts at #49 with "We Are Infinite"...

The last entry on the club chart at #50 is lesbian rocker Melissa Etheridge getting her pride on with "Uprising Of Love", my "Dance Pick of the Week"...

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Hot Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Ellie Goulding climbs to #1 with "Burn"...

DJ Snake and Lil' Jon roar in at #17 with "Turn Down For What"...

Jason Derulo is back at #18 with "Talk Dirty" with 2 Chainz...

Lastly, at #25 is British soul singer John Newman with "Love Me Again"...

That's it for tonight...I'll be back tomorrow with another song of the day and part one of this week's new album recap. Thanks for dropping by!
