Journey - "After The Fall"
from the album Frontiers (1983)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #23 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 8

Today's Song of the Day is by Bay-Area arena-rock gods Journey, who released their eighth studio album, Frontiers, in 1983, which scored them another top-10 hit with "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)", as well as their concert staple "Faithfully". "After The Fall" reached the top-30 on both the American pop and rock charts, theirseventh top-40 hit in a row.

After the release of the album, the band went on a hugely successful tour, which was filmed by NFL films as a documentary in Philadelphia. Here's "After The Fall" from the show with a cameo from Mr. fun big bear roadie type...

...since Perry left Journey, drummer Deen Castronovo does a respectable job in his shoes...

Up tomorrow: Dr. Drake needs some homo sapiens.
