Twostepcub's music chart for December 27, 2019...

Hey folks! I hope everyone is having a good holiday season, and getting ready for hopefully a much better year in 2020. Let's take a break from my year-end recap of the biggest hit songs of 2019 to run down the top 100 "hits" from the previous week. Lizzo takes a third turn at the top, while Luke Combs (pictured above) climbs a notch within the top ten. Songs from Dan + Shay, Dua Lipa, and Judy Garland make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Green Day, Lizzo, the Jonas Brothers, and Dierks Bentley drop off my list, with two of them making the top ten of the whole year. Pink claims the top debut of the week all the way up at #60 with her collaboration with country traditionalist Chris Stapleton and "Love Me Anyway". It's the third cut from her stellar album Hurts 2B Human (that was criminally overlooked at the Grammys) to make my chart after "Walk Me Home" and "Can We Pretend", both of which made my year-end list...

Coming in at #70 is the new single from the Pet Shop Boys, who team up with a band that owe a lot to the former's legacy, Years & Years, with "Dreamland"...

Canadian indie-pop outfit Walk Off The Earth stroll in at #91 with "I'll Be There" . They've been absent since 2012 with "Red Hands", but have had a massive internet following...

Sixteenth season American Idol Maddie Poppe scores her second hit on my chart as "Not Losing You" moves in at #92. It follows "Made You Miss" which reached my top-40...

Grammy nominees for Best New Artist, Austin-based funk-rock duo Black Pumas roar in at #97 with "Colors"...

Canadian soul star the Weeknd returns at #98 with his new single "Heartless", which previews his upcoming fourth studio album...

Dance music newcomer Kian Blume slips in at #99 with his club hit "Stop The Show"...

And finally, at #100, is British "grime" rapper Stormzy with his UK #1 hit "Own It" featuring Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy...

That's all for this year - check up on my year-end list by clicking here. Cheers!
