Disco Dessert 12/15/19 - "Rock The Boat" from the Hues Corporation...

"Rock The Boat" was one of the first big "pre-disco" anthems that pointed to the evolution of the genre in the early 1970s. Recorded by the group the Hues Corporation, the song first appeared on their debut album Freedom for the Stallion, the song was remixed for the single and subsequently their next studio album Rockin' Soul. The song was released to early to be on Billboard magazine's official disco/dance charts, but topped the Hot 100 chart and got to #2 on the R&B chart.
