"Burning Drums Of Fire" was a club hit for the funk-disco act C.J. & Company. A studio band put together by Dennis Coffey (a guitarist best known for his top ten pop instrumental "Scorpio" from 1971) and disco producer/writer Mike Theodore, who wrote this track that opened their second and final album Deadeye Dick. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the album charted as one entry with all cuts featured; it rose to #18 in 1978.
