"Gone, Gone, Gone" was a club single from easy listening king Johnny Mathis. Appearing on his album The Best Days Of My Life in 1979, the song was written by L. Russell Brown ("Tie A Yellow Ribbon...") and Lisa Hayward. Despite being released on a special 12" single remixed and extended by John Luongo and Michael Barbiero, the song failed to reach Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, but the single was a moderate hit in England, peaking at #15.
