"Party" was a hit for disco producer and songwriter Van McCoy, who is best known for his #1 pop hit "The Hustle" in 1975. Appearing on his album The Real McCoy, "Party" climbed to #14 on Billboard magazine's Disco/Dance Tracks chart in 1976. The song also reached #20 on their R& chart, and #69 on the pop Hot 100.
