"Earth Can Be Just Like Heaven" is a cut from the self-titled debut album from the disco duo Two Tons O'Fun. Martha Wash and Izora Redman, who had been backup singers for the gender-bending disco star Sylvester, eventually renamed themselves the "Weather Girls" to bring out their single "It's Raining Men", but before that, this gem appeared on the Two Tons O' Fun record, which charted as one set on Billboard magazine's Disco/Dance Tracks chart, spending two weeks at #2.
