Disco Dessert 1/5/19 - "Menergy" from Patrick Cowley

"Menergy" was the first and biggest club hit released by HI-NRG/disco icon Patrick Cowley. After years of success producing genderfluid artist Sylvester, the song was the title track for his first album in 1981. "Menergy", listed with album track "I Wanna Take You Home", topped Billboard magazine's Disco/Dance Tracks chart for two weeks in 1981. Sadly, Cowley became one of the first high-profile people to die from AIDS, succumbing at the end of 1982.
