Songoftheday 4/20/16 - Well I'm no angel now I'll admit, I made a few bad moves I should regret...

"Walk On Water" - Eddie Money
from the album Nothing To Lose (1988)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #9 (two weeks)
Weeks in the Top-40: 13

Today's song of the day comes from rock singer Eddie Money, who had come off the biggest album of his career with Can't Hold Back in 1986, which landed him the top 10 hit "Take Me Home Tonight", along with top-40 follow-ups "I Wanna Go Back" and "Endless Nights". Two years later, Eddie released his seventh album Nothing To Lose, with the same producer, Richie Zito. The first single from the record, "Walk On Water", was another straightforward slice of workingmans rock written by Sammy Hagar sideman Jesse Harms, and floated on its harmonies and "na-na-na's" adorning a bad guy trying to be good tome...

"Walk On Water" became Eddie's second and so-far last top-10 pop hit in the U.S. in December of 1988. The single also climbed to #2 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock radio chart.
