We're at the "hump" of this week's "music sweeps", sampling some of the records hitting the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time I'm serving up the newest on R&B radio...
On their main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, Rihanna and Drake are at #1 for a sixth week with "Work"...
...as Drake pulls in at #42 with his own "One Dance", from his upcoming View From The 6 album. The track features Nigerian rapper Wizkid. C-

Rapper Kid Ink slips in at #49 with "Promise", featuring moment-hot hiphopper Fetty Wap. C-
Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Lalah Hathaway's version of "Angel" remains on top for an eighth week...
Neo-soul star Maxwell returns to the chart at #19 with "Lake By The Ocean". It's his first lead-artist single since 2009. B
Gregory Porter went to #1 on the dance chart in Billboard with the Disclosure record "Holding On". Now Porter has re-recorded the song as a quiet-storm track collaboration with vocalist Kem and it enters at #29 and takes my "Soul Pick of the Week". B+
Lastly, on the Rhythmic format, whose station use more dance/pop music in their playlists, "Work" is on top for a sixth week, while Drake's aforementioned "One Dance" jumps in at #29.
Dance/soul singer Kat Deluna roars in at #40 with "What A Night" featuring Jeremih, which interpolates the Four Seasons classic "Oh, What A Night (December, 1963)". C-
