Today's song of the day is by the R&B vocal group New Edition, whose self-titled second album had broke them through on pop radio with their first top-10 hit "Cool It Now" and a follow-up that almost did the same, "Mr. Telephone Man". For their third single they released the ballad "Lost In Love", written by Russ Framer and co-produced by "Maniac" man Michael Sembello...

"Lost In Love" became New Edition's third top-40 pop hit in May of 1985, while climbing to #6 on the R&B chart in Billboard magazine.
