Soul Sweep: October 25, 2014...

We're at the "hump" of this week's "chart sweeps", sampling the songs making the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out I'm serving up the latest R&B songs on the radio...

On the main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, Chris Brown takes over at #1 with "New Flame"....

The only debut this week at #49 is female rapper Dej loaf with "Try Me"...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Sam Smith spends a third week on top with "Stay With Me"...

Raheem DeVaughn returns at #30 with "Queen", my "Soul Pick of the Week"...

Lastly, on the Rhythmic format, where stations add more dance and pop music to their playlists, Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora claim the #1 spot with "Black Widow"...

Ariana Grande and The Weeknd move in at #29 with "Love Me Harder". It follows "Break Free", which is still here at #22...

I LOVE MAKONNEN lands at #37 with "Tuesday" featuring Drake...

Lastly, Dutch R&B performer Mr. Probz takes his international hit "Waves" to this chart at #40...

I'll be back in 90 with the latest country songs on the radio...
