It's time to bring out the first half of this week's "album sweep" sampling the records making their appearance on this week's Top 200 Albums chart in Billboard magazine, as Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP 2 album moves back up to #1 for a second non-consecutive week...(I've included links to buy anything when possible)...

Arriving at the #2 spot is heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch with The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell: Volume 2. Their Volume 1 also reached #2 earlier this year...

The limited-edition double-CD set has performances from Capital Cities, Passenger, fun, and more. It's only available at Target locations in that area...

Well the time has come for The Best Of Nickelback: Volume 1, which arrives at #21. The (unfairly) derided band had topped the albums chart with All The Right Reasons in 2005...

The various-artists concert album Eric Clapton Guitar Festival: Crossroads: Live MSG NY, April 2013 comes in at #25. The double-CD set includes performances from "Slow Hand" as well as Robert Cray, Vince Gill, and Earl Klugh. Canadian prog-rock heroes Rush enter at #33 with their Clockwork Angels Tour album. The studio album for Clockwork Angels went to #2 last year. This is their eighth live album to make the Top 200 chart; in 1981 their iconic Exit...Stage Left reached #10...

That's it for the first half of the new crop...out of these nine the three I would pick first are the Daughtry, The Hunger Games, and the Nickelback CDs (yes, that's right)....

I'll return tomorrow with the second half with an experimental rock giant, some Glee, and more...
