We're at the "hump" of today's "chart sweeps", sampling the songs making the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out I'm serving up the latest hits on R&B radio.
On their main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, Drake climbs to #1 with "Hotline Bling"...
As the hit TV musical drama Empire returns this fall, a new track from the show, "Bout 2 Blow", makes the main airplay list at #47...

Rapper Rick Ross enters at #48 with "Sorry" featuring Chris Brown...
Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Janet Jackson remains on top for an eighth week with "No Sleeep" featuring J. Cole...
...as the title track from her Unbreakable album moves in at #29...
Lastly, on the Rhythmic format, whose stations add more dance/pop songs to their playlists, "Hotline Bling" jumps two notches to #1...
Another track from Empire, "No Doubt About It" featuring show star Jessie Smollett and rapper Pitbull, drops in at #37. It's my "Soul Pick of the Week"...
Fetty Wap lands at #38 with "Again". It's the fourth single from his self-titled debut; the other three made the top-3 on this chart with "Trap Queen" and "My Way" both hitting the top...
Rounding things out at #40 is rap duo Rae Sremmurd with "Come Get Her", the fifth single from their album. The third, "Throw Some Mo", went to #7 here...
