Aussie Sweep: October 8, 2015...

It's time to head Down Under to check out the songs making their way on to the official singles chart in Australia this week, as Macklemore and Ryan Lewis climb to #1 with "Downtown", their fourth single (out of six) to do so....

Local hero Sia, from Adelaide in South Australia, leaps on to the chart at #10 with her new track "Alive". It's her third top-tenner as a lead artist; she went to the top of the chart here as a featured artist on Flo Rida's "Wild Ones" in 2011...

Alternative rock band Birds Of Tokyo, who hail from Perth, are back at #40 with "I'd Go With You Anywhere". It's their fifth top-40 hit single or EP; in 2013 they peaked at #3 with "Lanterns"...

The theme song to the new James Bond movie Spectre, "The Writing's On The Wall" from Sam Smith, enters at #44....

Another British act, drum and bass champs Rudimental, return at #47 with "Lay It On Me" featuring Ed Sheeran. Rudimental has had three top-10 hits in Australia with "Feel The Love" reaching #3...
