Rock Sweep: October 31, 2015...


Round two of this week's "music sweeps" is up, with the latest hits on rock radio as monitored by Billboard magazine...

On their main Rock Airplay chart, "Renegades" from X Ambassadors will not quit, racking up an eighteen week on top of the chart...

Hard rock band Five Finger Death Punch jab in at #39 with "Wash It All Away". It's the follow-up to "Jeckyll & Hyde", which went to #17 on this list and now stands at #32. This new one is already at #16 in its third week on the Mainstream Rock chart...

Swedish "doom metal" band Ghost take their top-10 Mainstream Rock hit "Cirice" to the main list at #44...


The fourth single from Canadian post-grungers Three Days Grace's Human album, "Fallen Angel", comes in at #49. The other three have reached the top-20 on this chart, with "I Am Machine" going the highest at #12. "Fallen Angel" drops a notch to #20 on the Mainstream chart...


And now on to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel, Ohio grunge band Red Sun Rising climb to #1 with their first single, "The Otherside"...

Nu-metal band From Ashes To New, from Pennsylvania's Amish country of Lancaster, also have success with their first single, as "Through It All" is the top new entry at #36...


Atlanta newcomers Separations arrive at #38 with "Dream Eater"...


Nothing More take their fourth single from their debut album, "Here's To The Heartache", to #40...


Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, the Cold War Kids are on top for a fifth week with "First"...

The rulers of the Rock chart, X Ambassadors, return at #33 at last with "Unsteady", the follow-up to "Renegades", which is still up at #2 here. It's my "Rock Pick of the Week"...


British neo-house duo Disclosure take their collaboration with alt-rock singer Lorde, "Magnets", to the chart at #34...


The second preview single from Panic! At The Disco's upcoming fifth studio album, Death Of A Batchelor, is "Victorious", which is in at #38. It follows "Hallelujah", which stopped at #11 on this list...


Finally, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format,  Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats stick around at #1 with "S.O.B."...

Nashville-based indie/progressive-rock band Moon Taxi drive in at #27 with "Year Zero"...


Indie-rock singer/songwriter Kurt Vile comes in at #29 with "Pretty Pimpin'"...
