French Sweep: July 1, 2014...

It's time to cross the Atlantic again to check out the songs making the official singles chart in France this week, as Black M spends a third week at #1 with "Sur Ma Route"...

As British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran's x album is released in this country, five of its tracks sold enough as previews of the album (besides current single "Sing" which stands at #21) to make the top-100. First up at #37 is "Afire Love" (the same rank it made in the US)...

Next at #39 is his "Bloodstream"...

Ed's "Thinking Out Loud" at #46...

"The Man" arrives at #49...

...while "Photograph" rounds it out at #53...

Swedish indie-pop performer Lykke Li moves in at #56 with "Gunshot". Back in 2012 she went to #4 with her international hit "I Follow Rivers"...


DJ Hamida enters at #76 with "Déconnectés" (Disconnected)...

Michelle Williams brings her Destiny's Child-mates Beyonce' and Kelly Rowland to the party for her first hit in this country, "Say Yes", at #90...

Dancehall act Collectif Métissé return at #93 with "Hey! Baby", a remake of the 60s Bruce Channel hit. They topped the French chart in 2010 with "Debout pour danser".

Parisian DJ Kayz moves in at #94 with the discolicious "Du Swagg", my "French Pick of the Week"...

The final new entry of the week at #96 is The Voix De France winnter Kendji with "Belle"...
