Brit Sweep: April 1, 2016...


Let's take a trip back across the Atlantic to check out the songs making their debut on the official singles chart in the UK this week, as American pop singer/songwriter Mike Posner spends a third week on top with "I Took A Pill In Ibiza"...

In this particularly slow week on the chart, the top debut doesn't appear until down at #61, as British pop/R&B singer Jay Sean returns with "Make My Love Go" featuring reggaeton artist Sean Paul. He's accumulated four top ten hits in the UK, with "Down" (which went to #1 in the States) reaching #3 in 2009. He also paired with Sean with the follow-up "Do You Remember", which peaked at #13...

Another track from One Direction exile Zayn's debut solo album, "She", lands at #84. Current radio hit "Pillowtalk" climbs another notch to #9 after going to #1...


Another former boy-bander, Nick Jonas, teams up with Swedish songstress Tove Lo at #92 for "Close". It's the lead single from his upcoming Last Year Was Complicated album. He previously went to #2 with "Jealous"...


The final newbie of the week at #97 if vocal group Fifth Harmony with "The Life". Their song "Work From Home" is at a new high at #2... (Currently there's no audio clip up for the track)...
