This week's "robbed hit" comes from the Miami-based dance act Will To Power, whose debut single "Dreamin'" also criminally missed the pop top 40 in 1987. Their follow-up "Say It's Gonna Rain", written and produced by the act's leader Bob Rosenberg and sung by Suzi Carr, followed in the same freestyle dance vein, but this time the clubs caught on in a major way...


"Say It's Gonna Rain" climbed all the way to #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Play chart in August of 1988, but stopped a notch above where "Dreamin'" peaked on the pop Hot 100 the month before. They would make up for that in droves by getting off the dancefloor and slowing down for their next single the mashup cover "Baby I Love Your Way/Freebird", which went to #1...
