Rock Sweep: March 22, 2014...






Round two of this week's "chart sweeps" is up, with the latest songs to make the rock radio charts in Billboard....

On the main Rock Airplay chart, the Arctic Monkey spend a fourth week at #1 with "Do I Wanna Know?"...

The top entry of the week up at #13 is Coldplay's "Magic", this week's "Rock Pick of the Week".  They previously went to #3 with "Paradise"...

Hard rock "fusion" group Linkin Park come in at #27 with "Guilty All The Same" featuring rapper Rakim, from their recent remix album...


Bleachers, a side project from fun. member Jack Antonoff, debuts at #44 with their first, "I Wanna Get Better"...


Heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch rock in at #46 with their remake of "House Of The Rising Sun". The track also rises to #14 on the Mainstream Rock chart...


...and sneaking in at #49 is the #1 pop hit in the country, Pharrell's "Happy"...


And onward to the rock radio format sub-charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel, The Pretty Reckless score their first #1 hit with "Heaven Knows"...

The aforementioned "Guilty All The Same" is the top debut at #28...

Kings Of Leon drop in at #32 with "Wait For Me"...


Kentucky hard rock band Black Stone Cherry come in at #34 with "Me And Mary Jane", the first single from their upcoming fourth album Magic Mountain. Back in 2011 they went to #10 with "In My Blood"..


British hard garage rock outfit Royal Blood take on the chart at #38 with "Out of The Black"...


Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart,  "Do I Wanna Know?" remains on top for an eighth week, while Coldplay's "Magic" is the top debut at #17, and Bleachers is in at #33 with "I Wanna Get Better"....

The other new song on the list at #36 is "Bridges" from Australian newcomers Broods....


Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format, U2 jump to #1 with "Invisible", while Coldplay leap in at #18 with "Magic"...

Brett Dennen follows up his #5 hit "Wild Child" with "When We Were Young" at #27...


Aussie alternative rockers Birds Of Tokyo fly up to #29 with "Lanterns"...
