Songoftheday 3/3/18 - Feels so good when I'm with you you know I gotta have your love, every day and every night you're the one I'm thinking of...
"Keep It Comin'" - Keith Sweat
from the album Keep It Comin' (1991)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #17 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 10
Today's song of the day comes from new jack swing artist Keith Sweat, whose sophomore effort I'll Give All My Love To You landed him two big pop hits with "Make You Sweat" and the top ten title song and love ballad "I'll Give All My Love To You". In 1991, Sweat (yes, his real last name) released his third album, "Keep It Comin'", with the title track as its first single. Written by Keith with producer Lionel Job, along with Kevin Scott, Jake Carter, Dwight Wyatt, and J.R. Sayles of the group Joe Public, who provided backup vocals, and later in the year got their own big hit with "Live and Learn"...
"Keep It Comin'" became Sweat's fourth top-40 pop hit in February of 1992. The track topped Billboard's R&B chart (also his fourth), while the remixes on the 12" single helped it rise to #25 on their Dance Club Play list. Internationally, the record made it to #34 in New Zealand, and it was a minor hit in Canada at #79.
