...or rather a Libyan, as the focus of the first appearance by President Obama at the United Nations seems to be hijacked by the ho odoo over where Moammar Gadhafi will be staying. Since most of the world's leaders are meeting at the UN for the General Assembly. The town of Bedford is at arms that Gadhafi's group is preparing to stay in a tented area on a property leased by Donald Trump by Middle Easterners. This is after the Libyans failed to be able to set up shop either on their own property in Englewood, and in Central Park (nice try). The thing is, first of all, yes Gadhafi is a douchebag, and we all know it. That Lockerbee conspirator getting released was total bullshit. But we KNOW he's coming. He's not the only idiot, since he and Admedispaghettios from Iran will have a pissing match on who's the nuttier. And he's got to stay somewhere. Who gives a shit? He ain't gonna do anything but throw a freaking "Rock the Casbah" party anyway. And I j

Tonight's DSS is by French singer Tom Prager. According to his myspace page , Tom was born in Africa and grew up on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, where he became an accomplished surfer. (sound familiar?) He formed his band Gwayav seven years ago, and right now has the #1 song in France. It's a breezy beachtime song, and a video that has a special heartwarming guest star. Here's "Lady Melody"... "Lady Melody" isn't available directly here, but if it floats your boat, you can grab an import of the single or album at Amazon's French site by clicking here ...I recommend it if you love the Jack Johnson/Kenny Chesney vibe but don't mind listening in another language...

Cee U Next Tuesday for the week....redneck journalism...

Image
This week's winner of the Cee U Next Tuesday award for female excellence in the male-driven field of douchebaggery is Fox producer Heidi Noonan, who, thanks to the glory of youtube, is caught rallying up the scant ragged crew of mouthbreathers that descended on Washington a little over a week ago. The "9/12" movement gathering, coined by dickweed-in-chief Glenn Beck to "bring America together like we were on 9/12/01", which translated from the original fucktard means "lets go scream and yell at the brown people in the White House", apparently wasn't hyped-up enough for Fox's already cheerleading broadcast, so Buffy Producerpants pumps up the loons behind the idiot Geek-Squad toss-off they had "covering" the weekend . Fox, of course, is somewhat putting a "Who, me?" air on, with Fox News VP Bill Sammons shitting out a "don't do it again" decree, but knowing Fox, this cunt and her male gay porn-librarian side

Hey everyone, it's time for my tunes for the week. This week Kings of Leon spend a fifth week at the top, while the Black Eyed Peas (pictured above) jump into the top-10. The Noisettes, Muse, and Jay Sean make the biggest moves, while former big hits by Cage The Elephant, Billy Currington, and Pet Shop Boys drop out. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the name of any of the artists to go to their website. Where's my rice ball? Story of the day.....He's like the wind...

Today brings news that actor Patrick Swayze passed away after a publicized bout with cancer. Swayze is best known for his roles in the movies Dirty Dancing and Ghost , but I reserve a special place for the fab job he did in playing Vida Boheme in To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar. He was assured enough in his own sexuality that he could play a dancer and a drag queen, and not really care what people thought. Here's a highlight. Dirty Dancing also gave Swayze a top-10 pop hit with "She's Like The Wind", which compared to other actor-musician affairs, comes off now as rather respectable...

So THIS is to honor 9/11?

So are we not supposed to be alarmed by this kind of ignorant signage from the mouthbreathers that gathered by the ten-thousands for the 9/12 slash fuck-the-brown-people party? I hope you're proud of yourself, fucktard. I hope the Secret Service is casing the hole of a trailer you call "home" right now. I'd love to have you alone in a room full of families of the real 9/11 victims. And while we're at it, I hope this white trash tranny cunt above got lost in real Washington DC after this. I'm sure they'd find a home for that flag. So basically, this Fox News "party" turned out to be a hate magnet for people who just can't stand a black man as president of Mehr-kuh. Good job, guys. To see more pictures from this calamity, if you can stomach, please to to TPM's excellent coverage of the atrocities by clicking here . Dear Kanye, You've obviously by now figured out what a stupid spectacle you made of yourself during the MTV video music awards last night . Were you drunk? Or just ignorant? I mean, it's the FUCKING VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS. Not the Nobel Prize. With less anticipation than the People's Choice Awards. And while I may have disbelief at times on Swift's ability to carry a note, she's obviously musically very talented and genuine in what she does. No beefs with anyone. And Beyonce's video is cool, but it is a remake of a more classic dance number ...and a "viral" popularity of a clip doesn't mean she was robbed of anything in particular. And if you really want to argue the importance of a video music award Beyonce won best video of the year. So, whatever angst you've got going, you just blew your wad of sentiment. Chris Brown is laughing at you. You're on the one hand championing tolerance for gay rights, then back up Jay-Z with a lyric like Its cr

Hey guys, it's time for my tunes for the week. This week Kings of Leon spend a fourth non-consecutive week on top, while former tweener turned club siren Kaci Battaglia (pictured above) makes it into the top-10. Former big hits by Coldplay, Beyonce, and U2 drop off the chart, while current hits by Muse, Rise Against, and BT make the biggest moves. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the highlighted name of any of the 100 artists to go to their website (right-click and you can use a different window or tab). Let's get shakin'.... This Week Song/Artist (last week's position in parentheses) -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Use Somebody - Kings Of Leon (1) 2. I love touting Scottish bands, all proud and all, and tonight's DSS is by rock group Biffy Clyro . They have had consistent success in the UK, but their popularity hasn't "crossed the pond" fully yet. Of course with song names like "Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies" and "Hermafrofight" doesn't help (though the former is their biggest US hit so far). BC's latest, "That Golden Rule", is the second British top-10 from the Only Revolutions CD, and it's delightfully epic, going from moshworthy to experimental... You can order a copy of the "That Golden Rule" CD single from Amazon.com by clicking here . Bonus: Totally twisted version of a classic....Don't know if Stevie would approve...

Cee U Next Tuesday winner of the week....One Life To Leave...

Image
This week's Cee U Next Tuesday, the woman who excels in the male-dominated field of douchebaggery, is One Life To Live actress (well, former ) Patricia Mauceri. Mauceri was replaced on the soap opera because of her refusal to act or compromise with writers regarding a storyline involving her fictional son coming out of the closet. Her objection? That the mother was portrayed as too sympathetic to her son's condition. Not that she would have to kiss a girl, or do nude scenes, or whatever - just being positive was too much for her , as it would go against her "religious" views. Mauceri says it was those objections that got her fired -- she says her character would not have been accepting. "I did not object to being in a gay story line,” Mauceri said in a statement. “I objected to speaking the truth of what that person, how that person would live and breathe and act in that story line," she said. "And this goes against everything I am, my belief system,

Story of the day...Happy Labor Day!

I hope everyone in the US enjoyed the final big weekend of summer, Labor Day Weekend. In doing so, remember those workers whose hard work and perseverance enabled us to be entitled to things like an eight-hour work-day, health coverage, and freedom from unsafe work conditions. To celebrate, jam to a little Dropkick Murphys. Peace out. Thanks Susie @ Crooksandliars for the inspiration of clip...

Hey guys, it's time for my tunes for the week. This week the Kings Of Leon reclaim the #1 spot for a non-consecutive third week, while Sean Kingston (pictured above) jumps into the top-10. The biggest moves come from songs by Madonna, Cobra Starship, and Keith Urban (all big moves in red), while former big hits by Lady Antebellum and Oceana drop out.
