Now, can we all get on already without this dog-and-pony show? Yes, with no absolute surprise, Rod Blagojevich was successfully impeached and removed from the Governorship of Illinois. Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn will be his replacement.

Not to at all condone his behavior, but the gall of these Illinois lawmakers who live and die by the pay for play rulebook to feign despair over something they in one way or another routinely do, is beyond me. Show me them really setting ethics standards and then we'll talk.
