Today's Song of the Day is from rock singer Robert Plant, whose second solo album after the dissolution of the classic hard rock band Led Zeppelin, The Principle Of Moments, had scored him two top-40 pop hits with "Big Log" and "In The Mood". Two years later Plant released his third solo set Shaken 'N' Stirred, which honed down the songs to even shorter rock radio-friendly lengths. The first single from the record, "Little By Little", was written by the artist with Jezz Woodroffe, who played keyboards on the album...

"Little By Little" become Plant's third top-40 pop hit in July of 1985, while going all the way to #1 on the Mainstream Rock radio chart in Billboard magazine.
