Dance Sweep: September 21, 2013...

We're up to the final "chart sweep" of the day, and now I've got the newest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio, according to Billboard magazine...

On the DJ-polled "Hot Dance Club Play" chart, Enrique Iglesias zooms to the top in only five weeks with "Turn The Night Up"...

Rocketing in at #32 is Katy Perry with her #1 pop hit "Roar"....

Remixing star Dave Aude is in at #44 with "Electricity & Drums (Bad Boy)" featuring Akon and Luciana on vocals...

Namy follows up their top-20 dance hit "I Can't Wait" with "Not This Time" featuring Kathy Brown at #45...

With my "Dance Pick of the Week" at #46 is country star LeAnn Rimes with her latest, "Spitfire", proving no matter the genre, if you're a certified mess, you always have a home on the dance charts...

...and arriving at #50 is newcomer Che'nelle with "It's Happening Again". She was born in Malaysia, and is pretty successful in Japan...

Meanwhile, over on the radio-monitored Hot Dance Airplay chart, Lana Del Rey and Cedric Gervais share a fifth non-consecutive week on top with "Summertime Sadness"...

The only new song on the chart at #25 (the bottom bunk) is Timeflies with their former top-10 club hit "I Choose U"...

That's it for this week's musical journey...thanks for coming by, and I'll return tomorrow with another Song of the Day, part one of this week's "album sweep", and my recap of the British charts. Good night!
