twostepcub's music chart for September 18, 2009...

Hey everyone, it's time for my tunes for the week. This week Kings of Leon spend a fifth week at the top, while the Black Eyed Peas (pictured above) jump into the top-10. The Noisettes, Muse, and Jay Sean make the biggest moves, while former big hits by Cage The Elephant, Billy Currington, and Pet Shop Boys drop out. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the name of any of the artists to go to their website. Where's my rice ball?

This week there are five new songs (and one re-entry), and the highest debut is by Solange (Knowles), who places her fourth straight single on my chart from her Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams CD. The last three became #1 Billboard dance hits, and the newest is at #6 and heading there as well. Here's "Would've Been The One"..

Summer may be over, but British/African "grime" artist Dizzee Rascal, who pairs up again with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris for the former UK #1 "Holiday", is still enjoying the beach...

Next up is country star Kenny Chesney, who revives a track from his previous album to make the second "new" hit from his Greatest Hits II collection. It's a collaboration with Dave Matthews, who's latest foray in the news wasn't his fault - it's been rumored that former presidential candidate John Edwards offered a wedding concert to his mistress Rielle Hunter. But take that with a grain of salt. Here's the poignant "I'm Alive"...

Returning after ten years following the death of lead singer Layne Staley, Alice In Chains is back with singer William DuVall and "Check Your Brain"...

and finally, we have the return of Bon Jovi, who after a one-album foray into country-tinged rock, go all out hair-metal where they belong with "We Weren't Born To Follow"...

And as a bonus, Swedish Idol winner Agnes returns in a big way, leaping over all the other debuts to come back following the American release of her first US single, "Release Me"...I hope this song catches on like Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" did, it deserves it..

Mmmmmm, Deep-fried Oreos!
