Distant Shores Song for the night...

Shy'm is a French singer whose fourth top-10 single in France is my Distant Shores song of the night. Shy'm (nee Tamara Marthe) has a heritage from the Caribbean isle of Martinique (through her father) and the rough western suburbs of Paris (her birthplace). Her new song, "Si Tu Savais" ("If You Know"), would sound totally in place on American pop radio (if we could only get past the language barrier).
