Today's Song of the Day is by the rock band Le Roux, originally "Louisiana's Le Roux". Not to be confused with the new-wave duo from England these days, the group got their start in Baton Rouge in the late 70's under singer Jeff Pollard.It's your standard pop-rock harmony-laden track prevalent on early 80's rock radio, but it proved to be the group's sole top-40 hit. Soon after, Pollard left to concentrate on religion and his Baptist ministry, though the band has carved a career backing hazz musicians in the area, and their music has been more Cajun-inspired.



 Le Roux was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2009.
