Married couple Marv and Rindy Ross formed the rock outfit Quarterflash in Portland Oregon at the beginning of the 80's under the name Seafood Mama. Rindy, a saxophone player, brought something different to the bevy of women rockers emerging at that time, and they scored a big hit out of the box with "Harden My Heart". Their followup made it into both the pop and rock top-20. It also expanded on the love gone wrong attitude of their first single to be the brash kiss-off Rindy belted so well.
