twostepcub's music chart for December 10, 2021...
Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Adele spends a second week at #1, while the Jonas Brothers (pictured above) leap into the top ten. Former big hits from Dua Lipa, Old Dominion, Joel Corry/Jax Jones/Charli XCX/Saweetie, and Jameson Rodgers/Luke Combs drop off my chart, while songs from Glass Animals, Jack White, and Acraze/Cherish make some of the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). And under the list everything is Spotify playlisted for the biggest in pop, rock, R&B, country and dance music. Now let's get it on!

And here they are on video, after the break...

Taylor Swift released her re-recorded version of her 2012 album Red to grand acclaim and a #1 place on the Billboard 200, and two of its cuts enter my chart this week. First up with the highest debut of the week at #52 is one of the nine previously unreleased tracks on the new set, "Message In A Bottle (Taylor's Version)", which is being promoted to pop radio...
Swedish duo NEIKED arrive at #68 with their new lite-dance track "Better Days" featuring British singer Mae Muller and American rapper Polo G...
Also from Sweden is heavy metal band Ghost with "Hunter's Moon", which was featured in the latest slasher franchise flick Halloween Kills, which flies in at #77...
Texan indie-rockers Spoon are back at #86 with the lead single from their upcoming tenth studio album Lucifer On The Sofa, "The Hardest Cut"...
R&B singer Ari Lennox, who's been in the news lately for getting arrested in the freaking Netherlands, nevertheless makes her debut on my list with her song "Pressure" at #87...
The second of Taylor Swift's entries on the chart this week is the epic kiss-off track "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" at #88, a ten-minute re-worked song that topped the Billboard Hot 100 and set a record for the longest song to top the list...
Female indie-pop duo Daisy The Great team up with brotherly trio AJR for the song at #93, "Record Player"...
Los Angeles-based trio TELYkast recruit singer Sam Gray for "Unbreakable", which moves in at #95...
As DJ/reality show fodder Joel Corry's former top-40 hit "Out Out" leaves my list, he returns with "I Wish" featuring singer Mabel (aka Neneh Cherry's daughter)...
Nathaniel Rathbun, aka DJ Audien, slides in at #98 with "Wish It Was You" featuring singer Cate Downey...
The final entry of the week comes from country singer Morgan Wallen, who had been in radio exile for most of the year after his filmed drunken racist outburst was publicized. But of course, unlike the (Dixie Chicks), Nashville is better at forgiving bad men (and also being the biggest album of the year doesn't hurt), and I questioned whether to include him here. But since "Sand In My Boots" is a non-offensive song, and other BAD men like Chris Brown are on the list (hell, he had the biggest R&B hit of the year), Morgan slips in at the base spot with the song from his double disc Dangerous set...
