This week's "robbed hit" comes from Latin freestyle dance music singer Lisette Melendez, who had one of the biggest hits of the genre in the spring of 1991 with "Together Forever". After a second single, "Stranger In My House Of Love", stiffed, the third release and worthy follow-up from her debut album was released. "A Day In My Life (Without You)", which sounded quite similar to her breakthrough hit, was written by Lisette with producer Carlos Berrios along with Frank Reyes...


While "A Day In My Life" spent 20 weeks on the American pop chart, the song peaked just above the halfway mark on the Hot 100 in November of 1991. It did turn out to be her highest-charting dance hit, reaching #30 on Billboard's Club Play list.
