twostepcub's music chart for July 30, 2010
Hey everyone, my vacation's over and time for my top 100 tunes for the week. This week Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg hang on to #1 for a fourth week, while Ke$ha (pictured above) makes it into the top-5 with "Your Love Is My Drug". Which was co-written with her mother. That happened. Previous big hits by Macy Gray, Erykah Badu, Jaron & The Long Road To Love, and Phoenix drop out, while tracks by Kimberley Locke, Meck, and Neon Trees make the biggest jumps. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on any of the highlighted artist names to go to their website (right-click, and you can use another tab or window). Rock on!

There are nine new songs on my list, and I'll start off with Scissor Sisters, who are back with a fantastic new CD Night Work and a song that incorporates some Elton and Billy Joel into it. Here's "Fire With Fire"...
Next is British R&B powerhouse Taio Cruz, who follows up "Break Your Heart" (which is still in my top-25) with the title track to his latest dance jam CD, Dynamite...
Easton Corbin comes from Trenton. Trenton, Florida, that is. His new single is the fun summer track "Roll With It"...
Good news: Enrique Iglesias has his fourth US top-10 hit. Bad News: He does it by co-opting with the devil and having this song be the theme to the current season of Jersey Shore. Oh Lord. Here's the evidence on "I Like It"....
And what's a week without a American Idol song? The producers may be cleaning house ridding Ellen and Kara from the show (and inexplicably leaving Randy Jackson - it he the cockroach of AI?), but former winners and contestants are continuously still making a mark on the music scene. Like Fantasia, winner of season three of AI, who debuts the first single from her upcoming third album. Here's the smooth R&B of "Bittersweet"...
Andy Bell, lead singer of the awesome Erasure, is back with a second solo album Non-Stop, and the first single is "Will You Be There?"...
Canadian rapper/singer Drake puts his acting chops from Degrassi: The Next Generation to good use on the clip for his latest jam, "Find Your Love"...
Country singer Blake Shelton previews his second six-song EP this year with "All About Tonight"...
and finally, French/African group Collectif Metisse is back with the second hit on my chart. Feel the steel drums of "Debout Pour Danser" (Stand for Dancing)...
And I'm out!
