twostepcub's music chart for August 21, 2010...

Hey everyone, now that I'm a year older, I'm recovered, and not ready to go back to work, it's time for my top tunes for the week. This week Kylie Minogue spends a second week at the top, while Sara Bareilles (pictured above) jumps into the top-5. The biggest moves are made by songs by Kelis, Darius Rucker, and Scissor Sisters, while former big hits by Train, VV Brown, Brad Paisley, The Black Eyed Peas, and Christina Aguilera drop out. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the highlighted name of any of the artists below to go to their website....That waiter was not Scottish!

This week there are nine new songs on my list. The highest debut goes to producer/DJ Dave Aude, who is responsible for a lot of these songs already on my chart. He has a new track under his own name, and recruits the services of the mysterious "Isha Coco", who is really British electro-singer Luciana Caporoso, singer on UK top-10's "Yeah Yeah" (with Bodyrox) and "Come On Girl" (with Taio Cruz). It's one of my favorite new dance jams, and it's "Figure It Out"...

Next is country stalwart Kenny Chesney, who previews his upcoming CD with the ode to college football, "The Boys Of Fall". No, autumn can't come this soon!

Macy Gray follows up her stellar "Beauty In The World" with another disco jam, "Lately"...

Usher adds a third song to my top-100 as the dance hit "DJ Got Us Falling In Love" with Pitbull storms on...

Brandon Flowers takes a break from fronting The Killers to put out the very Killers-sounding "Crossfire"..

British electro-pop band Hot Chip raise the irony level a notch with their deliciously evil boy-band inspired clip for "I Feel Better"..

Another import from England, DJ Bailey comes on with a song featuring Jodie Connor, who also sang on RollDeep's "Good Times" a little while back. Here's "Higher Sta

The Sons Of Sylvia started out calling themselves "The Clark Family Experience", which gave them a winning spot on The Next Great American Band as well as a top-20 country hit with "Meanwhile back At The Ranch". Their style is now more adult-pop, and debut here with "Love Left To Lose"...

and finally, Katy Perry makes a second appearance with her follow-up to "California Gurls".. Here's "Teenage Dream"...

Peace out...
