twostepcub's music chart for March 26, 2010...

Hey everyone, it's a stormy Palm Sunday, and time for my tunes for the week. I'm sorry about missing last week, as I was volunteering at the GLBT expo in New York. This week Lady GaGa finally gives in after just about the whole new year at the top, while Orianthi (pictured above) is already in the top-10. This week former big hits by Thirty Seconds To Mars, Kelly Clarkson, David Guetta & Estelle, Shakira, Nickelback, Anjulie, and Jay-Z & Alicia Keys all clear out for new tracks, while Jennifer Lopez, Muse, and Selena Gomez & The Scene make the biggest jumps. Link-O-Rama is back, so you can click on the highlighted name of any artist to go to their website. Oh my gravy!

This week ten new songs enter my chart, and three more re-enter. All the way at #59, Rihanna now has three of her singles from her latest album, Rated R, on the list at the same time, with "Hard" at #15 and "Russian Roulette" at #27. "Rude Boy" is the best track on the album, and has a great 80's retro video, and the US #1 and UK#2 single makes her highest debut....

English dance singer Livvi Franc places her second chart song, as the followup to the 2sc top-40 "Now I'm That Bitch" is scaling the Dance Club chart. It's "Automatik"...

American Idol runner-up from its sixth season, Blake Lewis, has carved a low-key but respectable alt-dance career, and the second release from his sophomore album is in my opinion his best yet. Here's "Heartbreak On Vinyl"...

Melissa Etheridge has become an icon for female and gay/lesbian rockers, and her latest album is previewed by the uplifting "Fearless Love"...

David Guetta dropped out with his top-5 hit "One Love", while his previous #1 hit "Sexy Bitch" is still hanging around. The fourth single from his "One Love" album features rapper Kid Cudi of "Day N Nite" fame, on "Memories"...

Super-producer Timbaland is back with two songs on my chart - while "Morning After Dark" with Nelly Furtado & SoShy re-enters up at #77, his collab with Justin Timberlake debuts as well. Here's "Carry Out"...

Perennial "Hat Act" George Strait brings some traditional country back to the chart with "I Gotta Get To You"...

Say what you want, but 77-year-old Yoko Ono is STILL a powerhouse on the chart, as her tenth, count 'em, tenth single from her Open Your Box album hits the dance chart, and makes my chart as well. It's a remake of her track from Double Fantasy with John Lennon, it's "Give Me Something"...

and the last "new" song is by country hottie Lee Brice, and the single from his forthcoming album, it's "Love Like Crazy"...
